We believe we have created one of the most exciting investment opportunities in commodity processing and manufacturing in the region by leveraging the advantages available for large scale investment in the KEZAD industrial zone, to ensure superior investment returns. This facility will establish a new manufacturing and processing standard using ”state of the art” equipment and experienced partners to reset existing business models and industry standards. This means we are developing first-class products for our customers and partners as well as providing an exciting development environment for our employees, alongside superior returns for our shareholders.

When we say we are confident in our ability to deliver a “best in class’ refining and processing facility, we mean it. This will be achieved through the decades of experience and sectoral expertise we have in the team. We intend to become a global industry leader by producing 2.29% in refined sugar production of the entire world, which will be the backbone of our business and also ensure our continuing growth and success. Our main differentiators will be based on constant innovation and strategic expansion. Where the opportunity exist for Emirates Sugar

The growth rate of the Global Sugar Market is 2.1%, with an estimated value of $76.62 Billion by 2027, while the demand for sugar in the UAE began to grow during the last quarter of 2022 by 3%, estimating the volume of domestic consumption at about 250,000 tonnes annually. Global sugar consumption is projected to continue growing at around 1.4% p.a., reaching 199 Mt by 2029, underpinned by population and income growth. As a result, the average world level of per capita consumption over the outlook period is expected to increase from 22.5 kg/cap to 23.5 kg/cap. However, considerable variations between regions and countries will occur

The continuous increase in sugar consumption globally and locally and being the first and only sugar refinery in Abu Dhabi is an excellent opportunity for Emirates Sugar Refinery.

Emirates Sugar Refinery will have a capacity of 3,000 metric tons per day and shall increase to 10,000 metric tons per day in phase 2, making it the largest sugar refinery in the GCC. The refinery will produce high-quality white, brown, and specialty sugars to meet the growing demand in the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
